Dear First Grade Families,
Welcome to first grade! I’m absolutely thrilled to begin this exciting journey with you and your child. This is such a special year, full of discovery, growth, and joyful learning, and I feel truly honored to be part of it.
First grade is a time when children bloom in so many ways—academically, socially, and emotionally. You’ll be amazed at how much your child will learn this year! From becoming confident readers and writers to exploring numbers, patterns, and the world around them, they’ll be building a strong foundation that will support their learning for years to come.
But more than just the academics, we’ll also be focusing on kindness, curiosity, responsibility, and working together as a community. My goal is to create a classroom that feels like a second home—a safe, nurturing space where your child feels supported, encouraged, and inspired to be their best self.
I’m so excited to partner with you this year. Communication and collaboration are key, and I welcome any questions, thoughts, or ideas you’d like to share. Together, we’ll help your child thrive and shine!
